Saturday 25th January 2015 saw some sunshine between the rain showers and the wind drove waves to heights of 20 feet into Thurso East, Caithness, Scotland.

A few surfers were out riding the rollers in. It has been known in the surfing community for many years that Caithness is one of the top places to surf in the UK and offers some challenges not least being the cold wind once you leave the water. For all that more and more surfers are visiting the north for the almost deserted waves thye can have to themselves.

Unfortunately we could only see the surfers in the distance and our camera was not up to capturing them in any kind of detail.
