Scout Post In Thurso For Christmas Cards

3rd December 2016

Photograph of Scout Post In Thurso For Christmas Cards

It's hard to believe it has come round again so quickly but its time to think about your Christmas cards! 2nd Thurso Scouts will be running their Community Scout Post again this year and post boxes are now out in their locations around the town and will remain open until Friday 17th December at Newsbeat on Princes Street, Frasers on Castlegreen Road, McColls in High Ormlie, the Co-op in Mount Pleasant and in Thurso Library and the Council offices in Rotterdam Street. It’s fantastic that local government and local businesses support this worthwhile event.

The Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and their helper elves will be aiming to have them all hand delivered before 19th December. The price remains the same as last year at a minimum of 20p donation per card, a bargain, when you think of the cost of stamps. Simply place cards and donations in a plastic bag before placing it in the post box.

Can we ask people to PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE limit their cards to Thurso and Scrabster? Last year we had such a number for outwith those areas that we needed up having to spend money on stamps to ensure they were delivered to Melvich, Wick and even Edinburgh!!
