Highland SQA Results 2016

Young people across the Highlands have received their results by text, e-mail or post.

This is the first year that candidates were offered the full range of national qualifications from National 2 right through to Advanced Higher as part of the Curriculum for Excellence.

In S4, the percentage of pupils who achieved 5 plus qualifications at National 5 has increased by almost 2% from last year. The percentage of pupils who achieved 5 qualifications at National 4 has decreased by 1%.

In S5, the percentage of candidates achieving 3+ Highers has continued to improve for the seventh year in a row. It now stands at 32.6%. 342 pupils achieved 5 Higher qualifications at grades A-C. Eighty four pupils achieved 5 Highers qualifications at grade A. This is an increase of eight from last year.

In S6, 501 pupils achieved the new Advanced Higher qualification.
