News this week that an amazing 5 of 24 teams competing for the UK “Apps for Good” http://www.appsforgood.org/ awards come from Wick High School.
Wick High School is the first in Scotland to enter the competition, which will take the teams to London for work experience (“hothouses”) with high-tech companies in Tech City in London before making “dragon’s den” pitches for their app ideas.
Apps for Good is an organisation that encourages young people to use new technologies to design and make products that will make a difference to their world.
