New Thurso Patient Participation Group Has Big Turnout

A new group is in the process of being set up for the Riverbank Medical Practice in Thurso and held their first meeting on the 8th of May 2013. It was arranged following a successful open day which was held on 26th March. This was to allow patients to find out how the Practice runs and what services are on offer.

Almost 50 people attended the first meeting of the new group.

The Practice provides services for around 6000 and employs 16 staff. NHS Highland has been managing the Practice since December 2012 but will be advertising for an individual or bigger organisation to take over the running of the practice later this year.
